I am Melinda,

a self-taught natural light newborn, maternity, and family photographer based in Berlin. After living more than half of my life in Nagoya, Japan, and spending a few years in Busan, South Korea, we are now back in Europe and calling Berlin home.

When not photographing, I love spending quality time with my two beautiful daughters and my husband, probably outdoors exploring Berlin’s parks, camping, throwing rocks in rivers, or enjoying a good ice cream.

I opened my photography business a few years ago, but photography isn’t just a profession for me—it’s my passion. I pour my heart and soul into every shoot, striving to naturally capture the essence of your family’s love and connection with authenticity and sincerity.

After photographing many families, my goal for each session is to create a fun, laid-back, and stress-free experience. You’ll spend quality time with your loved ones while I capture memories of your unique family connection.

Whether you’d prefer an in-home newborn photography session or a family photoshoot in one of Berlin’s beautiful parks, I’d love to photograph you and help preserve these special moments.

My love for photography began when my first baby was born. I wanted to capture every little expression because it felt like time was flying and she was changing every minute of the day.

Looking back at my own childhood photos, I only have two or three black-and-white pictures of myself as a child, and probably other 2,3 with my mom, far too few to keep memories alive or to share with my children.

Taking countless photos of my kids taught me to focus on what I’m truly passionate about: being their mom and capturing those fast passing, precious moments. These photos are more than just snapshots—they are memories that will remain treasures for years to come.

    Training

    I’ve trained with some of the top photographers in the business attending online and physical presence with: Linzie Russo, Georgia Bourke, Chris Higginbottom just to mention a few, but my learning is never-ending.

    Safety

    I am Newborn Safety Certified, and I renew regularly my first aid course, not just for my work but also because I am a mom of two little ones. I have worked with hundreds of families and newborns, and I am fully vaccinated.

2. GUILTY PLEASURES

My favorite weekend cold weather activity would be binge watching every single
16-19 century movie in my pj’s, of course.
In warm weather I prefer outdoors. Hiking, camping and kite flying with my girls.

3. IF I ONLY HAVE 15-20 minutes, I will:

Read! One day I will have a library room, where at least 3 walls are covered in bookshelves.

4. AROUND MY HOME

I love cooking, baking with my kids. We bake together most of our family birthday cakes, and I am always up for a weekend gathering with friends.

5. PRINTS, PRINTS, PRINTS

I am a big fan of printed out photographs.
A few black-and-white ones are my only memories of my mom.
